My story of Srilanka.

About Srilanka

 

Originally my family was brought up and born in SriLankan before they relocated to United Kingdom England, eventually they were married and settled in uk

The Tamil tigers slaughtered any innocent Tamils which led the fleeing for migration in 20110 the government and country itself was corrupt. It let people people to be rehoused in Canada uk or even America. SriLankan immigration has increased in Canada over the years in United Kingdom. Many SriLankan's come into uk for business education. A lot of our youth are very determined and ambitious about becoming doctors' lawyers' engineers and about even settling their housing moorage or even owning a land . Back home it is far more costly to have an owe a land compared to south Africa which lands cost less in some provinces.

Housing prices doubled which is a massive con for the Asian economy who are living in the slums due to poverty. It's the future generational students that would be able to afford such.

During the Tamil tiger war many srilankas where looking hostel   secure accommodations and came by asylum seekers passport that places then with secure housing.

 

Canada offers easier visa access for many SriLankan students and big businesses that are from south Asia.

 In SriLanka Buddhism, Christianity Islam and Hinduism are hugely respected and worshipped.

More than 1000 of years ago during de ago many people worshiped buddha many Thai residents settle in SriLankan for marriage healthcare and education as SriLanka is slight cheaper than India or elsewhere in south Asia.

The current prime minster of Srilanka is doing so much to develop SriLankan as a whole

 SriLankan women have birth complications leading to low birth rates compared to SriLankan's who live or work overseas, birth fertility rate and birth growth are rapidly increasing for SriLankan's that live aboard in European countries.

 SriLankan women because of poverty struggle so much for affording medical expenses in SriLanka so by choice they travel overseas for treatment.

 In Srilanka Independence Day and is celebrated on is Febuary 2nd  2026 on this day to remember all the people who fought for Equality after the singlase invaded the tamils the tamils finally had their own state.

Tourists visit Kandy, Colombo, Jaffna in peak times to visit ancient SriLankan historical monuments that are breathtaking, unlike India's pollution it is cleaner to swim or bath in Srilanka has suitable diets to cater for everyone Halal, Kosher, Veg and pescatarian.

 

Our viral liked popular dishes are kottu roti , eddipum , rice with lentils ,spinach curry mutton and is severed during birthdays, weddings and religious ceremonies

SriLankan biggest struggles that they are currently facing are economic growth, politics,poerty  and childcare expenses. Labour for decades has been troublesome in SriLankan a lot of underaged women are forced to work in clothing factories  for weeks or even days with restless nights and endless work , and often are malnourished ,starving for hunger which takes a massive toll on their wellness , they end up working in sweat shops designing clothes for big high street stores in uk ,us and Denmark despite the trouble the challenges they are still facing they focus on educating their children and making sure they bring enough money for their families to eat very well .

 

 

Srilanka was colonised uk Britain  and the Portuguese where  they invaded for many centuries several emperies of srilanka . The Kotte empire state was destructed by the Dutch people  more than 500 years ago.

 

 

Official  name of SriLankan that was named Ceylon has rechanged to SriLankan after many hundreds of years .
